HMPH.

It would figure that they'd release the new Torchwood trailer when I'm at work and all viewing sites are blocked here. HMPH. So I haven't seen it yet. Does it give any mention as to when the mini-series will be airing?

I've no idea how factual these "spoilers" are, but one site was talking as if they were fact. (Hell, for all I know, this could have been in the trailer that I won't be able to watch for hours.
  • Jack has an unknown daughter who turns up. BWAH!!! Can she be named "Jenny?" Can she? Can she?

  • No sign of Martha and Mickey. I knew about Martha, but I'd been holding out for Mickey. Woe. Instead, it sounds like Rhys will tag along. Well, I hope they don't need any medical or technical help.

There's no sign of Mickey in the trailer itself (or Martha, but we knew that). *SIGH* I thought Mickey was practically confirmed?

And I saw no mention about air date, but we don't tend to confirm stuff like this too far in advance.

I forgot. This is the BBC. They'll probably announce the day 2 days in advance, and then the time the day of. :D

Oh, n/m, I get it - you're being discrete!

Doesn't look like it. *sniff*

I don’t get it. Why’d they bring Mickey back from Pete’s World if Noel Clarke wasn’t joining Torchwood? Hmph, indeed.

I don't get it either. There were all these unsubstantiated rumors about Noel Clarke and Freema Ageyman deciding they didn't want to do DW any more(with lots of fannish opinion about how their characters got shafted mixed in) and I didn't believe it. But you gotta think something happened, because it was so obvious what they were heading for in JE.

They got rid of the doctor and the techie. All they've got left is the muscle. Going to make for a very different show.

If Martha and Mickey had been there I think it would have been a very different dynamic.

Also, the fact that Mickey was supposed to show up in TW was the one thing that gave RTD such major headaches about how he could get Rose to stay in Pete's World, since it had to be voluntary - he'd promised Noel Clarke he could come back to TW, which is why Mickey had to stay in this 'verse. It doesn't make any sense, not really. (Unless maybe he's just not in the trailer because it's going to be a surprise?)

Yes! Mickey and Jack got an actual hug reunion and everything! And they all walked off together in JE! *pouts*

Maybe that's why they're doing one story instead of 5/6 separate ones. It's easier to fudge over that if the whole series will be a compressed amount of time.
