I try not to make asses of anyone, especially myself, and I'd certainly not jump to conclusions about anyone based solely on what they put on their journal. Of course, there are some whose life revolves around their journal and who you can draw conclusions on. You, on the other hand, I know has a real life somewhere out there, so I was pretty certain these questions would have been rhetorical even before the ETA.

I think you're right that they're a window into what a person does, but by no means give even a partially complete picture of their life. Of course, that doesn't mean that you can't come to some sort of determination about the sort of person they are, and the things they enjoy.

For example, the fact that you tend to focus more on the happier side of things, would lead me to believe you're like that in person. That doesn't mean you don't have bad days, simply that you tend to be more optimistic. Am I right?

And there is nothing wrong with being philosophical, although being full of it is probably pretty much the same thing, isn't it? ;)
