I was opening my windows just now (it's finally cool enough) and what did I see?




RAWR!!!!

It's about 3 inches long and yes, it's OUTSIDE the window. I don't think it's a grasshopper, is it? I'm not sure what it is - I'm not quite sure if a lizard would be higher or lower on the food chain with this thing. O_o

ETA: rattus_aerius solved it. Looks like a katydid.

I'm not sure I've seen one up close and personal before. Unfortunately it's really hard to see his/her back from inside, and I don't feel like getting out of my jammies to go outside. :D
