  • Last night driving home in the dark was bad. Bad bad bad BAD. Darkness, headlights, curvy road - it was super disorientating. So my work is letting me change my hours to come in earlier and leave earlier so I don't have to deal with it.

  • Semi-related - I saw that DT shot a pilot for NBC. Some law comedy about an attorney who has panic attacks or something. I think I'll skip it. It'll probably be done for a laugh, but actual anxiety has been a nightmarish living hell for me, thanks.

  • Although a good thing to come out of it is me getting a treadmill. When I bought a new pair of pants last week, I was down a size! And this was without dieting.

  • LJ, why the Halloween banner yet?

  • I need fluff!

If I could marry my treadmill, I would. My parents can not shut up about how much better I look, and I haven't dieted at all (she says while she sits at her desk and eats M&Ms). The only thing I'd like to exclude from this blissful marriage is the return of my plantar fasciitis, which is at present bugging the shit out of me.

Can't say for sure, but the pilot DT did is classed as a drama, though one with comedic elements. I'm kind of expecting a sort of Tony Soprano scenario, or someone else said Monk meets Ally McBeal. *shrug* I just hate the US television network system, which manages to take even great (or potentially great) shows and screw them up beyond all recognition.

The best part isn't dieting! It's not like I eat junk 24/7 and I get my veggies in, but I've been on diets before. Nothing gets me to give up on being healthy faster than a diet.

It could be a Monk-like show. I don't really care for Monk, so that isn't a bonus for me.

The director of the pilot also directed the pilot for Life, so that's the comedy/drama line I'm picturing right now, personally.

I <3 LIfe very much—it was one of the few network shows I watched last year. And that's definitely a show that, if described on paper in one sentence, I would have gone "ugh, wat?"

*SQUISHES FOR YOU*

And clearly Frances should provide you with some fluff! *Nods*

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I do have fluff for you! I just need to work up the energy to get it off my other computer and finish editing in all the comments Opal left on it.

Note to self: when you try and describe how to drive stick, don't let a British person read it over. They make fun of you.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
*taps fingers*

Do British people drive a stick differently?

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think so, they just seem to only drive stick.

Whereas I tried and then failed and now stick with automatics.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I don't know how to drive a stick either. :D

Yay work for letting you change your schedule!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
They're really good about stuff like that. :)

Fortunately with the time change, it'll feel like I'm not doing anything different. Although it is kind of funny to wake up at 5:30 without an alarm.

[identity profile] yourebrilliant.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Quick, prompts! I've just signed up for a fic exchange and I'm in the mood to write some short fluff. I've been neglecting the D/R H/R love horribly, in my love for Dramione.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Um...um... Tidepools! Fish! Otters!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
YAY! THANK YOU!

[identity profile] poohmusings.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack! Are you on meds right now? If you are, I'd check to see if any of them sometimes produce night blindness. I know that's common with lots of drugs and is a pain in the ass to deal with. And as someone whose eyes are naturally ultra sensitive to oncoming headlights, you have my utmost sympathy.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I am on meds - I'll have to check when I get home.

Yes, this. It's one of the reasons Glee fills me with RAAAAAGE actually.

Some people can handle it. I have a friend who has diagnosed OCD and she loves Monk. I guess I'm not at the laughing about it stage yet.

[identity profile] solielle.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
*hugs* Good of your employers to let you change your hours.

I am jealous of people who have home exercise equipment. I hate going to the gym, and feel like an idiot when I use exercise videos.

*attempts to write something*

Writing is hard =/

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-03 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Writing is hard!

And thanks. :)

I love having my treadmill. I've never been to a gym, but I know I would never go, even if I had a membership.

*squish*

Driving at night is generally scary anyway!

I am irrationally irritated at DT for picking the one subject I wish to not think about for two hours out of the day when seeking entertainment. How dare he.

I never used to have a problem before my ear thing. Woe.

I don't care how much I enjoyed Tennant in Doctor Who if he starred in something I wasn't interested in I'd pass it up in a heartbeat.

Ever since the clock change I can't believe how much it's changed me already. This is not a good sign. In a month I may be completely inert...

Same here.

Time change is EVIL.
