I have a new shiny!!

Internet stars gaze upon the new laptop. And gaze. And gaze...



Because the screen has said this for the last hour.

I poked around online and apparently the initial update can take hours and hours. NICE OF THEM TO TELL ME THAT AHEAD OF TIME! If I'd known, I would have waited to start it when I went to bed and played around on my new shiny more first. *sniffs* (No, there's no way to stop it. I might have tried with no luck, defying the order to not turn off my computer. However, the computer is smarter than me, laughing at my feeble attempts to stop world domination updating. *eyes it*)

But anyway, from the little I've played with it, Windows 7 looks quite a bit like Vista, which is fine by me. I'd always shied away from Vista because of the bad press, but they installed it on my work computer months ago and I haven't had a single problem. Works better than XP, in fact.
