mrv3000 | Countdown to Christmas: 7

This is one that really doesn't have the best plot. Like, at all. But I love it for the happy fluff that is the Doctor and Rose. :D

The Doctor and Rose are at the height of Adorable Couple Mode in this episode. (And then it all gets ripped away by an evil Welshman, but let's not go into THAT.)

They're going to see the Olympics in London, but they would have looked like this if they were going to a frog race. Seriously.

"Yeah, we're totally the police and not..hairdressers or something."
For how much he does it, the Doctor sucks at going under cover. D

Normal conversation gets grins and very nearly high-fives! XD

The Doctor talking about his manly hairy hand CRACKS ME UP SO MUCH. "Look at how I'm totally manly and stuff, which should totally turn you on..." *snickers* Reminds me of a teenage boy, trying to "subtly" point out his body by taking off his shirt with an "I'm hot" or something. XD)

He was SO PLEASED ROSE WAS VERBALLY PETTING HIM. And then...cat. Lousy, no-good cat. Cat who is very definitely not prettier than the Doctor and shouldn't be getting any kind of petting because Rose should be petting him. HMPH.

Doctor: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. *ZAPS*
Squiggle Creature: *is dead*
Rose: Phew. Cheers for that.

Doctor: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.
Rose: This thing is weird.

Doctor: *LEAPS ON TOP OF ROSE*
Rose: Um. Hey.

Doctor: OMG THERE IS A SPECK OF DUST ON YOUR FACE.
Rose: But you know I'm all right, yeah?
Doctor: YOU ALMOST DIED.
Rose: I almost what?
Doctor: THERE MUST BE HUGGING.

Doctor: Hee. :) :) :)
Rose: *would like to do more than hug*

Rose: Seriously, there is more than hugging, you know.

Rose: Lots of other things, if you know what I mean. *wiggles eyebrows*

Doctor: Oooh, like holding hands? Right now I want to shove you against the console and hold the heck out of your hand!
Rose: *SIGHS*

I love the mirroring going on here. :D

I think what I love most about this is that the Doctor sticks in another finger while Rose is giving him a dirty look. Apparently it took a bit for his mind hamster to register that Rose's dirty look was about him.

This...is one of those "couple" things that no one else should ever ever see.

If the Doctor wasn't supposed to look like he was about a picosecond from wrestling Rose up against a pillar and doing all sorts of marvelously inappropriate things, the director gave DT and BP the wrong notes.

Apparently it took a bit for his mind hamster to register that Rose's dirty look was about him.

And the hamster's first thought was 'Too right! I missed a bit of marmalade on my other finger! What a silly waste of marmalade! Best pop that in!'

Man, this show used to be happy and fun. *boggles*

I KNOW! This is why I feel bait-and-switched a lot of times with this show. It started as an adventure, turned into a bouncy romp AND THEN WENT OFF THE DEEP END.
