A couple of notes...

There's a new edition of RTD's "The Writer's Tale" coming out in a couple of days.

I think one of the more insteresting things is that the Time Lady was the Doctor's mother. It makes me awwwwwww. We've never heard about her before, but she's his mum and tries to protect him until the end. *sniffs*

So the people who pointed out that the Doctor looked at Sylvia after Wilf asked - good eyes! I had to go back and watch it myself, since I didn't really remember that. But yeah. The Doctor pointedly looks at Sylvia after Wilf asks, then changes the subject when he turns his attention to Donna.

Also, both Mickey and Martha were planned for Torchwood's CoE, but were written out at the last minute due to conflicts. So those rumors were true. I'd still like to see Martha and Mickey on Torchwood's S4, so this gives me some hope. I guess it'll depend on the actors. But CoE probably would have given us the backstory to "OMG MARRIED!!!" we were missing.

Those who hold by the "half human on my Mother's side" aren't gonna be real happy to hear that. :P Unless she's like Spock's mum, serving on the high council or at least hanging with the VIPs despite being a different species.

I, for one, am very happy neither Martha nor Mickey were around for CoE. Because then they would probably be dead.

LOL OMG. I actually think he'd've kept them alive, which -- CAN YOU IMAGINE THE WANK if Ianto had died but not Martha and Mickey? LOOOOOOL

XD Although you'd think then that she wouldn't be around. Yeah, they were all trapped in a time bubble, but she shouldn't have lived all the way to the Time War then.

You know, you're probably right.

Aww I'm sad that there was supposed to be so much MOAR MARTHA and then Freema... went and.. had a career. Hmf.

lol, the mom thing, I don't even know.

I know! How dare she get fabulous acting gigs! :D

[identity profile] elirrina.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay, I thought it was the Doctor's mother for no particular reason!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I knew it had to be someone close to him.

I would now like some cracky fic with the Doctor's mum and Jackie in the same room. :)

It gave off that vibe though didn't it? When he looked at her, and the look on his face was very little boy. I don't think he would have looked at Susan or Romana that way (those were my other two guesses).

OMG. *brain explodes*

I think you could read into that like that. Well, obviously you could read that in there now. :D

I don't think he'd have looked at Susan or Flavia or the Rani that way.

Romana? Yes. Especially after them having been separated for such a considerable amount of time, if he's then watching her effectively demand that he sacrifice her.

You have watched way more Four and Romana (and old school in general) than I have, so you're probably right.

I do like the twist that it's his mommy though. :)

OT: What is your icon from?

[identity profile] kitsune17.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I really need to see that series.

[identity profile] olga-keepout.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
So now it's confirmed! I find it very amusing that about the only thing that The Sun gets right is Doctor Who spoilers. XD

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I still find it mind-blowing that a tabloid is so interested in a TV show in general. :D

[identity profile] olga-keepout.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It gets a lot of people interested in the tabloid. ;)

A line was cut from the scene where the Doctor talks to Wilf on the Vinvocci spaceship. He would have explained that he “was half-human back in 1999 for a couple of days” (a reference to the Paul McGann movie).

BWAH! I would have loved to have seen him poke fun at that!

Also I am saddened that we could have had more Martha in Torchwood and then were denied. HUMPH. Maybe S4?

AND SJA! D:

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2010-01-11 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
YES. WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE. D: Give me my, Martha.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_thirty2flavors/ 2010-01-11 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I would actually be more excited to see Martha on SJA. Because it would probably not require making her incompetent the way that her being on Torchwood would.

HAHAHA! Sarah Jane's teens are actually much more competent on a bad day than Torchwood is on good day!

Aww. I'm surprised RTD clarified that it was the Doctor's mum but I can totally see it now.

I'm going to have to look at that scene again... at some point.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-12 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'm kind of surprised he did too!

[identity profile] magali29.livejournal.com 2010-01-12 09:25 am (UTC)(link)
Do we know what were the conflicts which prevented the actors from being on Torchwood? Schedules problems?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-12 09:33 am (UTC)(link)
It sounds like it was scheduling problems with other acting gigs.
