Recs?

I was looking at the_spdn and was noticing something. I want to say this without disparaging fluff/smut/angst-type fics since I don't think there should be less of those kinds of fics (at all), but there aren't enough humor fics in this fandom, dammit! Not necessarily crack fics (although crack can be very very good), but just stuff that makes you laugh. Fluff fics can be funny, but a humor fic is sort of a different animal. (Different genres can overlap, but I'm looking for something that at its core is meant to be humorous.)

Maybe part of the trouble is that the show itself hasn't been very ha-ha for a while, but it's Doctor Who! There should be more funny! :D












































Does anyone have any recs for humor fics? My preference is always Doctor/Rose, but I'd be willing to trade off the relationship aspect for some good humor. Also, I'd be up for reading some funny fics with Martha or Donna too.

Erm, my faves definitely tend more towards outright crack. Let's see if I can think of some that walk the line.

A Gallifreyan at Blandings is a delightful Wodehouse crossover.

Orange-crushed's series with Ten, Rose and the beautifully insane Master traveling together is mostly crack.

Dave7 used to write some delightful fun and insightful stories at teadis before he went and got a job and a life and stuff.

Also omg, I don't know if this'll be your type of humour or not, but the person that made my (current) icon, also writes what I consider to be hilarious fics, mostly with Doctor/Rose.

I wish fandom had more funny fic too! I feel like this is a great untapped resource in fandom, with Ten and Donna. Fanddooom, stop writing fic about them doing each other and write more fic where they banter awesomely! *whines*
