I haven't been in a TV watching mood this weekend, so I haven't watched the new Torchwood or the new Leverage (even though Leverage is airing right now).

I happened to run across some random person on the internet fearing Moffat's upcoming portrayal of Irene Adler. I hear you, random person on the internet. I'm still in a honeymoon period with a new show, and I don't want to cringe over any episode yet, especially when there are (will be) barely any out there. But. I fear it will be just. so. bad. Some ridiculous caricature of femaleness - a male fantasy masquerading as a Strong Woman. And innuendos substituting for sexual tension. Woe. WOE. *flops around melodramatically*

(Gina Bellman would be a good Irene Adler though. She'd be my dream casting for the role. Erm...this isn't a spoiler. Just saying.)
