I guess there's some recent Billie Piper interview? One where she mentioned that she's been talking to David Tennant a lot lately? I immediately pictured this. (WHICH IS NOT RP FIC IN ANY SMALL WAY.)

DT: OMG, I'M NOT THE DOCTOR ANYMORE. WOE.

BP: I know, dear. *patpat*

DT: BUT...BUT...THE NEW GUY IS YOUNGER THAN ME! IS HE BETTER THAN ME? TELL ME HE'S NOT BETTER THAN ME.

BP: *is juggling the phone and the baby* Hmm? Oh, no.

DT: *sniff sniff* Thank you. So did you get my Doctor and Rose script that we can act out and put up on YouTube? I've cleaned the suit and everything!

BP: I've...gotta go. Byeeeee!

DT: Call you tomorrow!!

In other news, I still haven't decided whether or not to watch S5 as it airs or marathon it later. Might be later just to avoid fandom stress - something I quite literally can't deal with these days.

Yes, especially if the Donna sock puppet is aware of Moffat, can you imagine? :D Okay, rewatching certain episodes of crackiness (Planet of the Ood and the cracky brain, I'm looking at you!) have had a bad effect on me. :D

You get rid of that, you wouldn't be Donna any more. You'd be like an Ood, a processed Ood." and think of Donna's end. Bah.

The foreshadowing in s4 is so stealthy. I feel like it wasn't as heavy in s1/s2/s3, but then maybe I just haven't watched them enough.

I'm really bad at looking at these hints, but right now I feel like the foreshadowing in s3 and s4 was a lot lighter than s1 and s2.

There is a LOT of foreshadowing in s4, but it's all done well enough that you don't notice, whereas in s1/s2/s3 I felt like when there was foreshadowing you KNEW it was foreshadowing because it was like a big blinking light.

I mean, they also foreshadowed stuff like "DONNA 'DIES' AT THE END!!!" pretty heavily, but there are tonnes of little mentions of things like memory loss and cloning and even the 1-second-out-of-synch that you don't really catch until the rewatch.

Ooh, good point. I haven't really rewatched s4, I'm finally getting around to it, so now I know to keep an eye out for the memory loss and other mentions.

When did they forshadow the one second out of sync thing?

In the first of the Sontaran episodes -- the Evil ATMOS... Gas... Thingy is hidden one-second out of synch which is why it takes the Doctor ...almost an episode... to figure it out.

David was one of her choices (although he would not be able to pick the music as, according to her, he has questionable taste in that area).

Well, it could have totally happened that way. As you said in your scenario, she's only half-listening. Just a few well placed, Hmms, Yeas, Oh completelys thrown in at given pauses. And he ends with "Thanks, I feel good about this." And that's all she took away from it!

Me, I'm picturing the RTD crew (at least the ones still in the UK) getting together with sodas and popcorn and MST3King the hell out of any S5 they've gotten their hands on.

But maybe that's just me.

DW can be highly MST3K-able. :D I'm watching "Image of the Fendahl" right now as I'm doing laps, and yesterday there was MUCH MST3K-ing going on. (Also, I'm still weirding out about Leela's hair in this episode. I spent the first half of it debating if they switched actresses on me.)

I always like hearing that actors get along well too. I like something and it makes me glad that they had a good time while making it. :)

It's lovely to know that even after years of not shooting together (BP left in 2006 or 2007?), they are still in contact a lot. They really got along on set and outside of the sets. I'm sure that they would love to work together again, even if it's not for DW.

For season 5, I'm rather..., borderline indifferent, now. More like "it's a spin off". Like DW is a regular show, like plenty of other shows. I have seen the trailers and the Doctor is so different, the light, the sets, everything is so different that it was really like watching a spin off, like Torchwood. I'll probably dl the new season and save it for the rainy days, when I'm on holidays, in a few months.

I have to say, though, that you recognize Moffat's writing. I mean, the doctor meeting Amy? Check out GiTF, same meeting Doctor/Amy and Doctor/MdP. The first minute of Eleventh hour? You remember Rose suspended in the air, clinging to that balloon, in the London sky at night? Same thing, but remove Rose and place the 11th doctor in her place. Weird how he doesn't seem to realize that he writes variations on the same theme.
