What did I do before Netflix instant viewing?

I watched the first 5 episodes of Dollhouse yesterday. I like it. :D (Still no burning desire to catch up on other shows though. Maybe if they were on Netflix instant viewing, since it appeals to my inner slug.)

Still reading a lot, which has resulted in the occasional facepalm moments of inner narration of my own life. "She poured the water into the kettle, thinking what a good job she'd done in washing the car..."

And speaking (sort of) about tea, I've finally found "My Tea." (As in "My Goldfish" or "My Doctor.") Rooibos! I'll admit I originally picked it up in a moment of dorktitude at wondering what the "bush tea" from No 1 Ladies Detective Agency was all about. (The books go on and on - the author probably has stock in a company.) It has a sort of strange earthy smell and is ever so slightly sweet. I've never been a huge tea drinker since while I've liked tea, I've never loved it. But this stuff I could drink all the time. It's kind of comforting.

I do this all the time! I don't know if it's better or worse than mentally composing LJ entries about events as they happen.

Also, yay Dollhouse! Watching season 2 is on my to-do list for this summer.

That's a good question. XD

Ooh, there's a S2? I knew it got canceled recently, but hadn't realized it got in 2 seasons.

*Pats you* My internal monologue is usually (when not mentally imagining dialogue between the Doctor and Rose) a real time LJ post. Fortunately for everyone, I am too lazy to actually type every little thought.

Why are you denying us thoughts of your toothbrush? Why?

Rooibos is pretty tasty, and it has a wonderful aroma. The smell reminds me of chaparral. It is my fallback tea when I'm feeling overcaffeinated. (I drink a lot of tea.)

Doesn't everyone narrate their own life? (Maybe I also read a lot of books.)

I'm glad you're exiting lurk mode.

I've pretty much cut out all caffeine now - it makes me way too jittery - but I'm not a big fan of most herbal teas. (Don't really care for chamomile.)

Netflix instant viewing is the absolute bomb, for reals! :) I can feed my foreign film fetish to my heart's content. Plus, they have all 7 seasons of Buffy too!

I've missed seeing your posts, Missy, it's good to see you back.

I started watching Buffy but got sidetracked on other things. But I put them all on my queue.

Do you use Roku with Netflix? They just updated it so that you can search Netflix's library on your TV - don't need to add things by using the computer anymore. It's snifty!

I started out with Roku last December but wasn't too impressed with it so I returned it. I had purchased a Wii instead and was very happy when Netflix began streaming movies through the Wii this past April. My sons were visiting from San Diego last weekend and we got to see both seasons of Man vs Food on TV as well as The Blues Brothers.

I really love their instant movie function, I just wish they'd put more stuff out for viewing. I would love to see Veronica Mars and all seasons of Supernatural. :)

I heard an interview with the CEO (or some top guy) of Netflix a while back, and he said they were working towards getting everything on instant viewing. It would be a few years though.

I have considered moving into the Netflix world. Probably at the lowest level as I still have lots of access elsewhere.

And after much deliberation I'm still an English Breakfast person for my tea. Haven't found another that hits the spot in the same way...

I do love it. Best thing I ever signed up for. :D

Rooibos! I love rooibos tea! I have a couple of rooibos that have dried fruits and flowers in them that are really tasty, but my favorite is adding just a touch of vanilla. Maybe I'll have to make some now.

Didn't you have a tea quizzie a few months (years?) back? I seem to remember some kind of ticky boxes.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-06-05 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I picked up a rooibos like that too! It's quite tasty, and not so heavy on the other stuff. I'm not wild about tea or coffee that's overly-flavored.

And I think I did do a tea quiz, but where it is... :D

I *cannot* stomach Rooibos but am obsessed with Darjeeling...

Still reading a lot, which has resulted in the occasional facepalm moments of inner narration of my own life. "She poured the water into the kettle, thinking what a good job she'd done in washing the car..."

*hugs* Although I did get a 'translate into English' prompt lol :)

I can see how someone wouldn't like Rooibos - it's got a very distinctive smell that I think could put some people off. :D
