I've started The Half Blood Prince and it's obvious that Harry's started on a path of self sabotage. Apparently his life doesn't suck enough so he's gotta make it worse.

Like deciding to hide out in the Slytherin's train compartment because that will end well. Or deciding to do the Darth Vader nooooooo! in front of the entire school when Snape was announced as the new Defense teacher, since Snape loves a good ribbing by the students.

Rock on, Harry.

I'd seen the movie, so I knew Siruis died, so I wasn't really upset by it all. The only thing that gave me a little "awwww" was when Dumbledore told Harry why he wasn't a Prefect.

Six is, ngl, one of my favorites. Because it's creepy as fuck. A lot of people don't like it for what it is (lotsa backstory) but I do. :)

I like it a lot. It's not my FAVORITE because I think that the plot feels less focused than other books, but I love all of the backstory. And there are some scenes in HBP that I just love love love.

They're pretty quick reads and I've gotten in the habit of reading an hour or two before bed. Helps me get to sleep. :D

And so far there's no urge for fic. Maybe if I feel like I'm missing something after I'm finished reading?
