• I'm still sad that Ros is dead. *sniffs* She was AWESOME. But I know the actress wanted to leave, so what can you do?
  
  
• Awwwwwww. Harry finally proposes to Ruth. At Ros' funeral. Smooth, Harry. And Ruth says no. But in typical British fashion they're quickly over it and resume working together as if nothing had happened.
  
  
• Holy intense scene with Harry walking in and poisoning the former Home Secretary! They could have gone the "24" route and just had some violent death, but this was... Yeah, intense.
  
  
• I think this means the end for the S8 arc. I'm glad. I was never all that interested in that arc.
  
  
• Sophia Miles! :D :D Although next to Ruth and the memory of Ros, her character doesn't seem like it has a lot of weight. Or maybe Sophia's not comfortable in her character's skin yet.
  
  
• Oooh, that pulse bomb thing was pretty cool.
  
  
• AHHHH!! LUCAS ISN'T LUCAS?? *INSERT DRAMATIC MUSIC*

It's been ages since I watched Spooks. Is there any way I could just pick up here, or do I have to go back and watch all the seasons I missed?

There's some backstory, but for the most part it seems like they're starting fresh with this season. What Harry does at the beginning feels like it's closing the door on what happened before.

I think you could pick it up again without too much trouble.
