(no subject)

I walked around a fair for a little bit today. (Combo of the rain and my dizziness cut it short.) While they didn't have farm animals, they did have a couple of other things.

There was a booth for some kind of reptile rescue league. (I think.)

RIBBIT.

I'm not sure what this is. Lizard? Baby alligator?

Look at your hand. Now back to me. Now back to your hand. Now back to me. Sadly your hand is millipede-less...

Looks pretty alligatory to me.

GAAAAAAH, that last picture.

She had a pretty good-sized crowd around her with that thing. :D

I for one am GLAD my hand in millipedeless. *shudder* The middle pic appears gatorish. Although I am clueless on crocodile vs gator and what makes which.

I really don't know which is which either. Something about the nose?

And if bugs like to crawl on people, I'm glad there are people who like bugs to crawl on them. I'm not one of them.

Looks like a baby gator to me. And I say that as someone whose family took a baby gator from my aunt and uncle's backyard in Florida in a 5 gallon bucket to my grandfather's pond in Alabama. And watched it grow up for 15 years, and fed it fish from a fishing pole with a clothespin at the end.

...in retrospect, not the safest thing to do for fun.

I shouldn't have looked at that last picture right before bed. *shudder*

Since I happened to be reading through the other comments and you seem confused as to the difference between crocodiles and alligators, I thought that I, a certified Jungle Cruise Skipper, might be of some assistance. The easiest way to tell the difference between crocodiles and alligators is that when they have their mouths shut, you can see only the top row of teeth on an alligator but you can see both rows of teeth on a crocodile. Also, crocodiles have pointier snouts. So I would guess that's a baby gator. And if her name is Ginger, you better watch out, because Ginger's a bitch Ginger snaps! She's one tough cookie. :D

*GROANS*

You can take the Skipper out of the Jungle Cruise, but you can't take the Jungle Cruise out of the Skipper. XD

:D Never ever. But yeah. Pretty sure it's a gator. Jungle knowledge put to good use.
