In a sick bit of fate, everyone I know really well is on vacation right now. Called up someone I haven't seen in about a year to come get me.

Crap! That is too freaky. Mine died four miles away from my house at a time I needed to be in two other places at once.

And it has to make a 600 mile journey on Sunday ::wibbles::

I was supposed to take my car on a...*counts on fingers* 360 mile trip this weekend. Guess not. Am probably going to hitch a ride with friends now.

How did you get home? What a hassle :(
I hope you get it sorted very soon.

I ended up calling an old aquaintance who seemed fine with making the 60 mile trek to pick me up. I bought her a cake at the French bakery anyway.
