Things I've learned today from my friendsfriends list:
  1. I don't think I could care less about the meta of fandom or a show. There are a lot of very long, very boring (and did I mention long?) essays on things that could be summed up in a sentence like "Jack is funny," or "I don't much care for Boone," or "Fandom is freaky."

  2. Apparently icon making/judging/showing is a Very Big Thing. And in order to win at these icon judging extravaganzas, you must have the following: a) blurry picture of someone's left earlobe, b) song lyrics by Evanescence not more than 1 pixel high, and c) one giant, but very deep, word like "Absolution" or "Asparagus." The problem being when there are twenty "Asparagus" submissions for a particular picture - catfights ensue and the mod finally has to step in and ends up giving the award to the other mod. For the good of the community.

  3. Manips scare the HELL out of me. Seriously. And there are so many horribly photoshopped pictures out there. People seem to think they're cool when they're actually scary. Did I already mention hell?

  4. Speaking of hell, I think my version of it would be Branson, Missouri. Not that I saw this on my friendsfriends list. It just would be.
*wanders off for more coffee, hoping to God no one photoshops her into a picture of Branson*
