I've tried to type up some kind of BSG comments about three times since Friday night and every time I've deleted it.
I still don't have a firm grasp on it all. I think it's one of those things that needs to age/mellow a bit before it becomes focused to me. But I think I'll do numbered points like
elismor. It's easier that way.

- Poor Anders is so dead. He done got the cough of doom. *Although* I wouldn't put it past these PTB to simply use the illness to show us Starbuck and Apollo's states of mind and their relationship to each other, without actually killing Anders off. BSG's PTB are crafty like that.
- I'm not sure what to make of Starbuck's mudhausfrau status. I've seen lots of comments on this – about how it's out of character for Starbuck to give up flying to go and play wifey. My problem with really making up my mind on this is the fact that we were only shown about 30 minutes of Starbuck's life in that year later. All we *really* know is that she and Anders are married, she lives in a tent, owns a stove and probably hasn't stepped foot on Galactica in several months due to hugging Tigh which was...really? Hugging Tigh? M'kay. We have no idea how she fills her days. Is she a shuttle pilot? Dog catcher? Knitter of maternity wear? Just on extended honeymoon leave with the intention of remaining a patrol pilot?
- And continuing with Starbuck - marrying Anders doesn't surprise me in the least. She loves him and getting back to him had been her life's goal in S2. But TPTB are obviously going to eventually do the Lee/Kara thing by showing Lee being completely wrecked by both the appearance of Anders and the unintentional (or maybe intentional) cruelty by Starbuck. Anders may die yet. Poor Anders.
- Adama and Roslin really did screw over the Colonies just so they could sleep at night, didn't they? (I first saw this idea on someone else's journal – don't remember whose though since I read so many yesterday.) The more I think about it, the more I'm going with this notion. They knew what Baltar would do. Roslin knew Baltar was in collusion with the cylons. They knew what needed to be done. But they wanted a clear conscience. (Kudos to TPTB for showing something *really* grey – but they've been always pretty good at not having BSG exist in a black and white world.)
- Chief/Cally was a complete surprise to me. Never saw that one coming. But it was cute.
- The one thing that I am most looking forward to in the first episode of S3 is Six (I forget what we're calling this one) and Baltar being able to talk alone. Tricia Helfer stole that scene at the end. So much so that while I haven't really cared much about Baltar/Six in the past, I am really craving to see this played out.
- How messed up would it be if all this year later stuff was in Baltar's head? Heh heh. I *really* don't think they'd go that route though. It's a very cheap move.
- Mustache and hair extensions of DOOM.
