I kinda shot myself in the foot last night. See, I started adding Lost to my VCR timer because I could never remember when the thing was on. So yay - I can watch That 70s Show early and watch Lost after it's done taping. But I forgot I wanted to watch the West Wing too.

Oy. Life is so difficult without a Tivo.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm taping Lost because I need to fast forward any interaction between Jack and...what's her name. Kate? They have, what poohmusings likes to call, terminal "puss face" around each other. (Apparently it's some sort of Alias term, I think. And get your mind out of the gutter!) Their relationship is *so* forced that it's to the point of making me cringe when I watch it. While I like both the characters, I wouldn't mind if the giant invisible giraffeabear would eat one of them just so they could never interact again. Only just don't eat them both because then there would be cringe-worthy interaction while being digested. Oh invisible giraffeabear, wherefor art thou? Are you hibernating?

On the other hand...JOSH WUVS DONNA WUVS JOSH!! Heh. Didn't see it all last night since I was fast forwarding Lost, but the CJ as Chief of Staff story interests me. And Josh is *so* going to run for congress or something soon. Say Josh, you're gonna need someone to be the congressman's wife. HINT HINT. :-*

Unrelated - gmail *so* needs to have an option to unlink LJ comments. I swear I miss tons of them because of its threading. fffft!

Re WW, as we know Jimmy Smits is new to the cast, and we found out last night that he's supposedly leaving his congressional seat, my guess is that he's going to be a presidential candidate for the "elections next year" that were mentioned last night by one of the DCCC guys. And given Josh's reaction to being there, and the fact that it sounded like the Bartlet White House used to be like in the old days with the staff all going in an animated discussion, I think that's where Josh is going to end up, probably as Chief of Staff or something.

Of course once Donna and Josh aren't both working at the White House, plenty of opportunity for relationships .....

Oooo. I wouldn't mind if Josh would end up as Chief of Staff in the next administration. Hmm. Jimmy Smits as the new president. That would probably be okay. Not sure he has the charisma of Martin Sheen, but I guess we'll see. It'll certainly be interesting to see where the show goes after the Bartlet administration!

I like Sayid. Last night when he exiled himself, I think we saw that he's a guy driven by a strong internal morality, which is interesting. I can't wait to see more about him.

Sawyer. Ugh. He's pretty useless. I found the whole thing of him being tortured when he could have said all along that he didn't know pretty ridiculous. No one would do that. Very lame. And I think they try too hard at making him be an ass so that the result is a caricature.
