Okay, to help me cope,

elismor has given me a scenario which I have now adopted because it helps with the denial.

So in AU world there must be an AU Doctor, right? And one that probably is still on Nine? Working at Torchwood helps Rose to track him down and demand he take her with him. Now UNLIKE the big ball of crack that is Jackie/not!Pete, Rose and AU!Nine won't pick up where Rose/Ten left off. Because Rose is cleverer than RTD. And AU!Nine is kinda wary of the blond chick who just hijacked his TARDIS. However, she can still have adventures in time and space and not be stuck in a second-best life.

There. I feel much better now.

And I think I'd actually read Rose/AU!Nine...

ETA: Seriously, pretending this might actually help with being able to watch S3. So...just be quiet all you sane people out there.

ETA2: Also in MY world, Rose is able to recognize that AU!Doctor isn't the same as real Doctor. And she stops calling AU!Pete "dad." In MY world, I rule ALL.

ETA3: Also? Jake and Mickey? Total couple.

ETA4: Also? Until Rose tracked down the AU!Doctor she had her own damn place. Some cool little loft.

ETA5: It might be bad that I'm now more interested in this than in S3. :-\

ETA6: Think of the complexities! Rose coming to terms with the fact that this *isn't* the same guy, etc.

ETA7: Did I mention Jake and Mickey as a couple? Because they are.

ETA8: But sadly for AU!Nine, Rose eventually leaves him when Ten *finally* figures out how to get her out of AU-land. BECAUSE THIS IS MY WORLD. MWAHAHAHAHAHA.

ETA9: I have the feeling I'll need to retreat to this world if they ever have BP guest-star with some "look how I've moved on and am now married to Mickey" shit. Because I will cry.
