Chimes of Midnight

Looks like ff.net has taken down the copied stories already! *impressed* Probably helped that Karen was really on a mission from God yesterday, filing multiple abuse reports, all the while muttering "bastard." Heh heh. Karen's really the one you never want to piss off. :D Unidentified stories obviously remain up.

But on to more important things.

Doctor Who BF Audio - "The Chimes of Midnight" (Eight). How much fun was that? Hee! Even though Eight is still striking me as a "softer" incarnation (very mild, innocent, childlike - and that's the incarnation that went through the Time War. wah!), he still managed to get off a few snarky remarks which made me laugh. And I made my way through tons of Agatha Christie novels in high school, so this was even more fun.

I was confused about something though.

I really don't understand the paradox. It related to Charlie not really being dead, because apparently the Doctor saved her when they met. That's not what confused me though - caught on to that backstory well enough. My problem was with Edith.

So Edith killed herself in the 1930s after finding out that Charlie was dead. But if Charlie really didn't die in the 1930s, how exactly would that create a paradox? It seems more of a misunderstanding to me.

Also, why would that have any effect in 1906?

Is there something I'm overlooking or is this another "It's Doctor Who! Just ignore it!" moment? :D
