The backwards storytelling was really painful, especially at the end/beginning when they're at the start and think they'll be together forever

There's an audio-commentary to that one on the DVD and they mentioned that the pizza JD and Elliot eat represents a clock to show the passage of time. Clever. Also the episode went overtime and they just couldn't bear to cut it so it hardly ever shows up when they play it in syndication. Wow. That's sad.
