DW: The Armageddon Factor (Four, Romana, K-9)

Well, goodbye Romana I. After 6 episodes it's like we hardly knew ye. But you were a pretty cool Companion. Well, I guess she still will be. Just in a different body. Do we at least get to see her off in Destiny of the Daleks?

But anyway, this was the last episode of the Key to Time series. And, I gotta say, it was really getting tense and interesting and then... Then it all ended anticlimactically. So, the Doctor disbursed the Key to Time again? Then what was the freekin point?! Were they trying to say that it had been the Black Guardian at the very beginning that sent the Doctor on the quest in the first place? If that was the case, why'd he send the Shadow in to throw up a road block?! If the Shadow hadn't been there, the Doctor probably would have collected the not-yet-Romana key and handed it over. o_O But that couldn't have been the Black Guardian at the beginning - if it was, why would he have given the Doctor the warning that ended tripping up the Black Guardian in the end? And now won't there be a pissed-off White Guardian somewhere in the universe still waiting for the Doctor to quit dinking around and get him the Key to Time?

I don't get it.

Heh. Randomizer on the TARDIS. Amusing, but it it ever seen or heard from again? I mean, quite clearly later on, the Doctor can go wherever he wants and isn't throwing darts at a board for the next location. I mean, sometimes he does, but he's not at the whim of some Randomizer.

And last but VERY not least, THEY ALMOST KILLED K-9!! You have no idea the angst of watching K-9 go towards the furnace while the Doctor sat oblivious in the other room. I kept thinking - there are multiple versions of K-9 now, right? 4? 5? OMG! What if this is where another version has to be made?! "Too...hot...Master..." NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Side note: Haven't watched (well, listened more like) all of "Marco Polo" yet, but in this Doctor Who history lesson, I'm learning that Marco Polo was a dick.
