Still nesting or something. Have added links to my Old Who List so I can find related posts back, since one of my points to watching this stuff was for the 50,000 years of backstory reference. And a quick link to the Package of Rassilon. ;)
Forgot to mention "Theta Sigma" was brought up in The Armageddon Factor. Or "theet" as that guy said. Heh heh. The Doctor's nickname from his college days - class of '92. XA5,29284, most likely. ;) Looked it up on wiki and I guess the only other time this is mentioned is in "The Happiness Patrol" where the Doctor states that it was a *nickname.* It's not his *name.* *wags finger at fic writers* I'm kinda curious how he got that nickname - it's pretty much gibberish.
But when the Doctor emphasized that he got his doctorate to his old school chum, it made me think that *that's* where he picked up "the Doctor." Hey, I didn't know - for all I knew "the Doctor" could have been a term thrown on him by other Time Lords when he developed this annoying habit for wanting to fix things in the universe. I'd still be interested to know *why* he ditched his name, beyond the we-must-make-him-a-mystery-dude by the writers.
And one more small thing for the Destiny of the Daleks - you can hear the wheels squeaking when the Daleks roll... OMG*SNUGGLES*!! Bless their low-budget hearts!
