BSG

Oh my God. Will someone please shoot something already? More and more I'm looking forward to the 13-episode season. Now, this wasn't horrible in that I didn't feel the need to switch over to watch whatever fruit sculptures they were making this week on the Food Network, but it was pretty pointless. The class division seemed to appear out of nowhere, only around to make a social statement.

However, instead of feeling the need to rise up against The Man, the only thing this episode made me do was kinda dislike Adama and Roslin. Oh sure, they gave concessions at the end, but if they hadn't ignored everything and been pricks about it to begin with, it could have been completely avoided. With this episode and last week's episode (was it last week?), I'm starting to think more and more that Roslin is very much out of touch with the people she represents. Oh, she talks a good talk when she's forced to stop and think about it, but she's getting *way* into dictator realm. Like arresting that guy for *mentioning* Baltar's book and then talking about book burnings. Eh, they may have her go down a corrupted path, which could be interesting. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, as they say.

I did like seeing the Chief struggling with his choices. But he's a great character for that kind of thing. However, I now want Cally to grow up. Her wide-eyed idealistic unquestioning attitude was disturbing. She needs to start *thinking* about things instead of just being fed things. I wanted to see more of a thought process with her instead of immediately regurgitating Baltar's book.
