The answer is - I have no clue. For some reason, someone decided to throw their songs onto the roller coaster soundtracks for both Space Mountain and Screamin'. But after I got past the "why *exactly* is this happening?", I actually really liked them both. I mean, REALLY. They could keep that all as far as I'm concerned. Screamin' had their "Around the World" song, remixed to fit the ride track, but I liked it way better than their normal music.

Space Mountain's song I didn't recognize, but wiki's telling me it's "Higher Ground." For Space Mountain they actually set up concert lights and projections inside the ride. It was pretty cool, and they can keep all that as well. Of course, I may be biased since I haven't been impressed ever since they took away my giant ball, my space cookie and my Le Carnival Des Animaux on speed. Plus with the RHCP version, the spinny tunnel of pukeiness was GONE. WOOO!

Obviously I can't take a picture while I'm riding, but here's a pic of the queue from today. Oooooh. Lights.

Doing [livejournal.com profile] nandamai's interview questions made me remember my first trip to Disneyland and the fact that I *didn't* get to go on Alice in Wonderland. So I rode it today.

To a 4-year-old, doesn't this look like the best ride EVER?

I don't know why I keep trying to take pictures inside rides while I'm moving. It never works. Well, there is that saying about repeating things and madness.

Keeping my hands, arms and legs inside the caterpillar.

And now, I *know* you've been dying to see the inside of the Tiki Room. Go on. I know you have.

It was a beautiful day today. Probably upper 70s. But it was dry (Santa Anas right now) and so I felt camelish all day. Or...anti-camelish. Whichever. I'm still drinking water. And I split there around 5. One thing nice about having an annual pass, when I go by myself, I do whatever the mood strikes. And the mood struck me to leave. I didn't get a new sweatshirt (nothing appealed), but I picked up some Mickey cinnamon pecan coffee. Won't be able to try it out until my kitchen's back unfortunately.
