I have no opinion nor care about who should end up with Jack, Kate or Sawyer. (Lost)
The following characters have about as much sex appeal to me as a middle-aged soccer mom: Kara (BSG), Weir (SGA), Dr. House (House).
I've tried watching Firefly twice -- back when it aired on Fox I saw a couple of episodes and then when it aired on SciFi I watched about one and a half episodes. Honestly, I was bored and thoroughly irked by the old-timey-west-speak and that girl...Kaylee.
I've tried watching a couple of episodes of Desperate Housewives. Was unimpressed.
I've caught a few episodes of Sex and the City over the years and have been pretty "meh" about it even though someone my age is supposed to think it's God's gift to the single, working woman.
I find it really hard to be interested in pairings that have no basis in a show's reality.
And somewhat related, I find OT3/4/5/6/7/etc. pairings laughable for all but one show that I watch. (I *have* read a few OT3 fics in the DW fandom - really the only show where I actually buy OT3.) I think I've made it through exactly two non-DW multiple pairing fics without laughing out loud. Even if a fic is meant to be serious, I can't get past the absurdity of it.
The quickest way to drive me bats is to take an adult character and put them back in high school. I have no interest (that's a bit mild - more like nails down a chalkboard) in seeing characters interact in that setting and it baffles me when people do want to see it.
The character of Teyla was a big reason I stopped watching SGA.
Smooshing together character names for a ship is moronic and makes me twitch.
If you want to see me get goofy, just mention Chow Yun-Fat. *gets stupid* (ACK - he's going to be a pirate captain in Pirates of the Caribbean 3! *babbles*) Guuuh. Um...what?
I would definitely go weak in the knees over Denzel Washington or Colin Firth. For women, Halle Berry (Catwoman never happened) and Mira Sorvino - I don't know why, she's kind of goofy. But this is why I like the movie The Replacement Killers *WAY* more than I should.
I disagree with you on: 2 - do not diss the mighty fine Kara 3 - Firefly is cool 9 - Awwwww - harsh :) 10 - Except for ShWing/Weir which amuses me because I picture Garth every time I read it.
Ok I burst out laughing on the first one. now I'll be picturing Sawyer and Jack hehehehe:P
2: House is Hot. Hugh Laurie rocks....(I'm a sad 18 yearold with no life. I blame my parents:P)
Agree: 3. yet to watch a whole ep 4.see above 5. watched one or two but only to keep up with obsessed mate....think he would do the same with Stargate. at least he knows half the names:P 6. if i see I project:) 7. yep. 8. i hate going back....why?! arghh..

There's no way I can ever picture Hugh Laurie without thinking of Black Adder. :D

I found her character imensely annoying for the few shows I watched early on. And tied to that, her "people" were standard SG-universe villager/pesants...basically the "noble savage." Flat, flat, flat and *so* been there, done that in the SG world.

Had absolutely nothing to do with how much I absolutely adored your companion ficlet to Space Race.
And I dislike Sex and the City, too. Though, that may have something to do with being a 17 year old girl. It's just not all that appealing.

HA! I'm not sure what it is exactly. I think she's the biggest culpret of the fake old west speak. That and she's ment to be "cute." *shudder*

The character of Teyla was a big reason I stopped watching SGA.
Do what I do when watching an episode of MacGuyver...any time she comes on screen shut off the sound and make up your own lines.
And Kaylee?? BLASPHEMER!!!! Well, not really. As much as I like the girl I can see how some wouldn't be too impressed with her.
