Hump Day

  1. All of Arnie's measures were defeated. (Mwah.) Can he sell a vacation house to pay for the special election or something?

  2. Saw "Good Night, and Good Luck" this past weekend and failed to mention what I thought. I'd highly recommend it. It didn't get into the characters as much as I'd have liked, but then that really wasn't the point of the movie. Made me wish for our own modern-day Edward R. Murrow. I can't think of one newscaster that has that much presence, wisdom, levelheadedness and is willing to take that many chances while standing up against the injustices of society or government. Of course, the movie's Edward R. Murrow was probably romanticized as all movies do, but I still want an actual person like that.

  3. Jess did not annoy me. Am confused.

  4. Cameron annoyed the hell out of me. Am not surprised. (No, I'm not a regular viewer. Was at friends' place last night.)

  5. Nononono. Everyone knows the Ancients caused penguin evolution. They're obsessed. Almost as obsessed as the Asgards with making Jack clones to play with.

  6. The Pirates of the Caribbean ride is getting a massive makeover. I started to twitch when reading about the audio replacement, but after reading everything, it sounds like it could be pretty cool. I hope they'll get Johnny Depp to voice Jack Sparrow.

  7. New Lost tonight! Woo!

"Good Night and Good Luck" is on my must-see list. The turn our society is taking is terrifying. Our president advocates torture like some third-world dictator.

I think you'd really enjoy the film. I naturally drew parallels to today without feeling like "OMGTHISISABOUTBUSH." There are over-arching truths that span time in this film.

I know! I think Rory might finally be waking up. And Jess actually seemed like he had matured. I could actually begin to like him, which is...not right. My worldview has been skewed!
