Posty McPost

Looking at my last speculation post, I think I can safely say I've ventured off into "that's crazy talk!" territory. :D

I shouldn't be surprised, considering I did the same last year. Although, I'm not stressing about a main character maybe dying this year, so the speculation's a bit more enjoyable this time around. However, it's still just as maddening. Mwah.

It was almost a bit lovely how the Doctor wanted to take the fight off Earth. That they could go kill each other, just somewhere else. It's just something that's always been this trait of the Doctor's, even in the classic series. He's like the Earth's #1 fanboy. And probably even moreso since he made Gallifrey go boom. He adopted Earth long ago, and just has hung out on it so much in New Who.

Also, I wonder if at the Academy they made everyone choose these new names. I mean, they ripped the Gallifreyan kiddies away from their families at age 8, maybe the "names" are another form of separation. I think there were some Time Lords with name-sounding names, but maybe they were chosen as well? Could explain why the Doctor's all "900 years, I'm coping" when asked if he cares that he doesn't have a name - he was made to abandon it at 8. Also, it would *totally* fit when Reinette said that his name was more than a secret, and called him a "lonely little boy."

Also also, Gallifrey = Atlantis.
