My 100th classic Doctor Who episode! *parties, taking the form of a beer and grilling*
The Face of Evil (Four, Leela)
The Face of Evil (Four, Leela)
- The Doctor starts out travelling on his own, and is just babbling to himself. Of course, he really is his own best audience. Mwah.
- Huh. A clock just kinda melted and I have no idea why.
- Heh heh. The face of the Doctor carved into stone – obviously he'd been there before – and is now known as "the evil one." You know, half the time I swear he just pisses people off wherever he goes. :D
- And the Doctor demonstrates amazing Time Lord powers of..."look behind you!"
- They send in this wee creature as the Doctor's punishment. "Well, it doesn't look too formidable. Do you want me to fight it or eat it?" *snickers*
- Where are the other women?
- So the Doctor's personality was absorbed into a computer some time ago – a sentient computer. It naturally went mad, presumably under the weight of its own ego. And the Doctor has to try and convince it...that it's itself. :D
Doctor: Once upon a time there was this thoroughly insane computer. My fault, really, but let's not dwell.
Computer: *eats popcorn*
Doctor: And it...was alive!
Computer: Oooh. Didn't see that one coming. *continues to eat popcorn*
Doctor: And that computer is...YOU.
Computer: GET THE HELL OUT! - HA!! Leela's trying to get out of being the leader of her people and pretty much hijacks the TARDIS. :D
- This was another plot where a space ship had crashed, and people reverted to this "savage" way. I seem to recall a couple similar plots. But at least this time there was a reason for it in that the computer was kind of manipulating everyone.
- Very side note – I think I now know where Futurama got their "Amazon Women in the Mood" plot from. Well, they did say that Leela on Futurama was named after Leela in Doctor Who. Have I ever mentioned how much I love the creators of Futurama? Because I do. *uses Futurama quote for subject*
