  • I watched the first 5 episodes of Rome this weekend. How addicting is this show? It's a soap opera set in ancient Rome! The sets, locations, costumes, acting - incredible. (Although I could have done without the realistic head surgery. EW.) With every single character there's something you both love and hate about them. *quickly throws disks back in the mail to get the next batch*

  • Wish this persistent cold would go away. Or at least the ear part of it. It's left me feeling slightly dizzy much of the time for the last several days, which isn't fun.

  • Oh, fandom. Logic and you generally aren't friends, are they? I refuse to have to suffer fools - gladly or otherwise. Instead, I opt to try and ignore them.

  • Wahey! Captain Jack action figure from Last of the Time Lords!

    Oh, I crack myself up.

But since I'm on the subject, you know, it's been about a month or so (right?) since the finale, and I've still yet to figure out the floating thing. Or the restored body through good vibes thing. But more specifically, the floating thing. Floating AND propelling. Vrrroooommooooooom.

I really rather wish they'd knock off the "god" stuff, or at least tone it down next series. Yes, yes, everyone worships the Doctor. We get it. Although, it is quite interesting that the more he's worshiped and deified - even from those closest to him - the more lonely and disconnected he becomes. And the more questionable his judgment becomes at times. Yes, I'm still looking at the FoB ep. Yeah, yeah, I'm fairly certain all of this was deliberately done this series, but it makes me sad for his character. Le sigh.
