Saw Ben Browder on CSI: Miami last night. Somebody get that man some leather! Hope the guy gets a new gig soon.
Heard Eve 6's "Inside Out" on the radio this morning. Haven't heard that in loooong time - fun!
Saw the SciFi promo for SG S7 last night. It's getting close. {bounce bounce}
Saw another ad last night for The Matrix, which comes out next week. {bounce bounce} (It better not suck!)
Oh, almost forgot. Apparently the Indiana Jones trilogy is coming out on DVD in November (ooo - will have to put that on my birthday list.) It's about time! Although I kinda don't think I'll be watching the second one very often.
I don't have the ability, otherwise I would have. It was mainly clips from old episodes, but there were a few new short ones in there. It had me going "OOO!" :)
Hey Meesh (and MV) -- Morjana posted a detailed play-by-play of the promo to samandJack (and probably other places too). I squeed at her post since, you know, no cable.
(She's got a lot more energy than I have, has Morjana.)
Yes. I was worried about that at one point. I am no longer, and I'll tell you why ...
Once upon a time, the Wachowski brothers pitched a huge big-budget action film called "The Matrix." It was the first screenplay they'd ever written and they knew *exactly* what they wanted. They were laughed at, basically. Newbies don't get that kind of budget. Some bigwigs told them to go off and make a smaller budget movie first, and then maybe they could talk.
So they did. They went off and wrote and directed Bound. And damn, if that is what they do just to prove a point -- I am so willing to have faith in their judgment. :) (Have you seen Bound? See Bound.)
Haven't seen it. I'll have to check it out. You know, there are some writers/directors that I'll always go see, just because whatever they do is at the very least interesting. The Coen Bros. are on that list (heh - just watched Raising Arizona again) as well as Christopher Nolan. (I swear, I'm going to become a Christopher Nolan groupie.) The first Matrix blew me away when I saw it in the theater, so I'm more than willing to check out these guys' earlier work. :)
I'm actually thinking of working from home that day, and then taking a half day so that I can go and see it. Somehow or other I missed seeing the original movie on the big screen, and I don't want to make the same mistake this time! There is *no* way that I am going to miss it!
I'm actually thinking of working from home that day, and then taking a half day so that I can go and see it.
Heh. I might be able to get my coworkers to go see it that day. We did an office trip to go see the last 2 Star Wars movies when they came out and even managed to get in a digital showing of the last one.
Somehow or other I missed seeing the original movie on the big screen, and I don't want to make the same mistake this time! There is *no* way that I am going to miss it!
:O I'm shocked! I think I saw the first one in the theater 4 times. *g*

I took everyone that worked for me to see both of the Lord of the Rings movies, but for some reason there just wasn't the interest in Star Wars. Saw them both in the cinema, but couldn't find anyone to drag along to the second.
I'm shocked! I think I saw the first one in the theater 4 times.
You know, I really don't know what happened. It wasn't exactly yesterday, but I have a feeling that a lot was going on at the time, and I simply didn't go to the movies.
Hmm. March/April 1999. I know that my wife was pregnant with our first child, we were trying to move house, and my best friend was getting married for which we had to travel down to Aus. Seems like a lot doesn't it? Kicked myself afterwards though!

I hear there's a pretty kick-ass trailer attached to the X-Men movie. Yeah, thinking about seeing that this afternoon. Even stayed up late last night watching the first one so I would know who people were. :P
Just a week to go! The theater I went to was already selling tickets, which really confused me because the lady ahead of me asked for tickets to The Matrix. Have the feeling I'm going to have to get them online to even get any.
Saw Ben Browder on CSI: Miami last night. Somebody get that man some leather! Hope the guy gets a new gig soon.
Dammit! I MISSED this!? *bangs head on desk* Man, I loves me my Ben. I need to get my copy of 'Undressed' back. *happy sigh*
Heard Eve 6's "Inside Out" on the radio this morning. Haven't heard that in loooong time - fun!
Dude, that whole album is just great. But yes, 'Inside Out' rocks the house. My friend Cathy actually got her little nephew to cross his arms above his head and sing "Tie me to a bedpooooost!" when that song first came out. He was four. It was disturbing, but funny.
Apparently the Indiana Jones trilogy is coming out on DVD in November.
Oooo... Harrison Ford. Doing active things. *flaps happily*
Have I mentioned that I've been in love with that man since I was three years old? It's a life-lasting kind of thing.
Re: Randomness is my damn middle name. Well, Gail too.
Yes you did. Actually, I don't normally watch the Miami show, but I knew he was going to be on. :)

LOL!! The best I've got with my 2-year-old nephew is him singing to Jack Johnson. But I am trying to teach him to say "Dad! Beer me!" (Evil!Auntie)

Ha! Unfortunately, my nieces and nephews have all reached puberty. How scary is that? I wish I could get them to do stuff like that these days. *sigh* Now I just make them drive me places. Almost as good...
Oh yeah! Hey - aren't they doing another Indiana Jones movie?
Yeah, I heard that, but there hasn't been any news about filming or anything. I think Harrison needs to do a last film. He really, really does. Because there is not enough Harrison drooling these days. *sigh*
Re: Randomness is my damn middle name. Well, Gail too.

Heh. Every time he was onscreen I'd yell "Whoo! Crichton!" It was a nice sort of payback for all the times my husband interrupts my Stargate or Buffy watching with mockery.
Every time he was onscreen I'd yell "Whoo! Crichton!"
Ha! Dude, I miss Farscape. He and Claudia need to be in a movie together. A lot. Just so that there'd be an automatic audience for it. And so the rest of the world could see the Ben/Claudia chemistry.
*sigh*
I'm so glad he's married and they never slept together. So. Very. Glad.
It was a nice sort of payback for all the times my husband interrupts my Stargate or Buffy watching with mockery.
You know, I didn't before. But I'm starting to now. *Really* hope they'll be able to do a tv movie or mini-series some time down the road even though the ending was *very* cool, IMO.

They really did have great chemistry. I'd love to see them together in *anything*.

Dude, YES! If I had, y'know. Power or anything I'd lobby for it. I've used this before in other things, but I have to say that those two just set my television on fire many a time.
Heeheheehe! Onscreen UST is keen. Onscreen RST is keen as well.
And I *still* can't get the J/A porn music out of my head from Meltdown. They had PORN MUSIC!
Dammit, I *miss* that show. And it hasn't even been six months yet!

I love Indy!("You were named after the dog?")
Though of the three, Raiders is actually my least favorite. I'm not a big fan of Karen Allen. Last Crusade is the best. Harrison and Sean Connery...what could be better?

I don't think I've ever been that scared of someone named Joey Pants before. The PLIERS man... Gah.
Plus, Meg Tilly just rocks the boat every which way from Friday.

Oh that sucks - it was a goooood trailer! I got goosebumps. :)

Funnily enough, the one time I have seen the trailer is when I went to see Two Weeks Notice. Some weird ass advertising...

I had to go look up what movie that even was. That is odd advertising!

I'll take her performace in Raiders over Kate Capshaw's in Temple any day of the week. Can't really say I've seen Allen in much else.

That *was* great, wasn't it? Couldn't have been better! :)
