So *Lorelai* was the one who popped the question! Didn't see that coming. Why do I still have a sense of impending doom for Luke and Lorelai?

Everything moved at the speed of light last night. *zip zip zip*

So Rory, in her coninuing effort to stay freaked out, quit Yale. Okay, she's doing the college-student-without-direction thing. That's fine. I would have liked to have a better reason for it, but still - lots of people have the freaking out about life direction thing. And I get why Lorelai isn't understanding her since she never had the classic college freakout herself.

I still have the desire to slap Rory around though.

Okay, Luke and Lorelai. First, Luke giving back the house because of a slip of the tongue? o.O I finally figured out that Luke is as neurotic as Lorelai, just in different ways. Okay okay. So he was wigging about Lorelai moving away too. You know, one of these days they're going to have an actual conversation about their relationship.

And now the impending doom.

I really do believe that Lorelai loves Luke, but come on. This was a spur-of-the-moment, I'm-freaking-out-about-Rory-and-need-some-stability thing. Lorelai is the queen of jumping into things as the result of reacting to something. Plus he scored bonus points for being the only person who was on her side about Rory.

Eeeeeeeeek! Doom! :(

(But he was very cute about the Rory thing. Such a guy - "let's do this and things will be solved." Awww. *pets*)

(Also, TV buddy and I both agreed we loved Logan even though we aren't supposed to. *pets also*)

I think maybe I've just been out of love with Rory since season four, I don't think I could pinpoint when it was, but I get the feeling that for a while they were making her more screwed up (like humans tend to be), but at the same time trying to keep her "Perfect Rory". And I got fed up with her character. So, most of my annoyance is more targeted towards the fact that if she let one man's opinion get her down, then she really doesn't have what it takes to be a journalist.

And for now, I'm just going to let myself be happy about Luke and Lorelai. It'll all come crashing down eventually, so for the next five months I'm just going to smile and nod and pretend that Lorelai doesn't ruin all her relationships. *nods and smiles*

(I love Logan too, but don't go spreading it around anywhere).

That's one of my big issues with her. She didn't used to be whiny. She used to stand up for herself and was quite outspoken. Now she's suddenly meek and complains/whines all the time. It's incredibly grating.

See I saw it in a differet way. At least from Lorelai's POV. I don't think she was jumping into anything. Was it impulsive yes but I don't think it's something she's gonna take back either. It all has to do with Luke's rant about his plan to save Rory. It wasn't so much that he's the only on her side it's that he was willing to do all these crazy things to help. I think in that moment it just hit her like a ton of bricks that Luke's it. He's the one she's been looking for all her life. He's the guy she wants to spend the rest of her life with. So why not marry him.

I really hope you're right. I would luuuuurve it if Lorelai finally realized this! *smooshes Luke and Lorelai together*

Maybe I just have trust in Amy. I mean so far she hasn't let me down. In fact out of all the writers I probally trust her the most.

She is very good, isn't she? I love this show so much! :)

Out of the writers on primetime (other then Sorkin) she's the best.
