I refuse to put a cut for a movie that's over 20 years old.

I'm curious now, and I'm sure someone on my flist will know, is there anything out there that's pretty much considered to be canon that takes place after Return of the Jedi? (Yes, currently have one of those obsessions I know will only last a few day - a week at the most.) Like an authorized book series or something?

I feel like I'm really missing some Leia resolution from RotJ. She gets hit with all this info and they never really dwell on her. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of discovery of what really happened on the parts of both Luke and Leia. And what did Han think of it all? Okay, maybe I would even do really, really, *really* good fanfic that takes place right after RotJ. Or just tell me what happens.

OMG, I'M THINKING ABOUT STAR WARS CHARACTERS! SOMEONE SHOOT ME!

*dies of geek* (Which might give me an excuse for not writing.)

ETA: Heh. Mood icon. "I bent my Wookie."

ETA2: I'm feeling the need for a Procol Harum cd. Don't ask me why.

Yup, he originally planned it as 9 movies - three trilogies. But he liked the middle three first, so he made them, apparently. And now Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are older than my parents, so he's not going to make VII, VIII and IV.

Whoof. I am SUCH A GEEK.

From what I know he made the middle three first because they didn't have the technology to even attempt to make the first three movies.

*nods* Yup, that too! There are a plethora of reasons, I'm told.

Yeah, I can't imagine the original actors in anymore Star Wars movies unless they took place much later. Of course, I'd be afraid to see what new actors they would use to replace them. Eeek!

I know. Muuuuuuuuuuch later. Wow. A 70-year-old Han Solo? Ew. That would completely ruin it for me. *g*

Besides, what would the story be? The Empire has been destroyed....

Yeah, I think that story has been told.

*nods* It'd be interesting to find out what he planned, though.

A 70-year-old Han Solo? Ew. That would completely ruin it for me.

As frightful as a 70-year-old Indiana Jones? :)

*shudders* I can't believe they're making that. They are still making that, aren't they?

Supposedly the script was finally approved. I still feel they should leave it as a trilogy... Gah.
