Was it just me or was Carl in love with Jack? Okay, maybe it was just me. Although he really looked like he wanted a kiss goodbye... :D

It looks like the scenario is based on Rwanda, but takes place in a fictional African country. Very telling in how the outgoing U.S. President was talking about not getting involved because there was nothing there of interest like oil or resources. (The dickish President Daniels who got into office when Wayne Palmer was victim to an assassination plot. Hmm. I can't remember if he died or just became incapacitated.)

But there's a new President in town - Allison Taylor - who does seem to have a beating heart, so I expect there will be U.S. intervention. Along with a side plot of something involving an agent in the Secret Service and shadowy Jon Voigt who's been funding the genocide. Maybe a President Daniels involvement as well?

The Jack part of the story involves a subpoena (MWAH) and him winding up in U.S. custody due to helping to get his now-dead boyfriend's students out of the country. (Can't Jack keep any of his loves??) There's lots of running and shooting and throwing dynamite, but the really important thing to know is that Jack killed a man with his thighs.

I was pretty impressed with the casting they did on this. It wasn't filled with A-list celebs, but heavyweights. People you tend to recognize but can't name (since they're usually never the star of whatever show) but they have CHOPS.

On to January, where hopefully Chloe will appear to scowl at Jack, Jack tersely whisper "dammit, Chloe!" and all will be right with the world.
