Buckaroo Banzai!! WHEEEEEEEEEE!! Cameron Mitchell can do no wrong now!
That is what I remember.
Then there were other things...with words. In English. It was all really hard to understand on top of a double martini. Hell, I'm completely impressed with my own typing right now.
But then my brother called and there was a 10 minute conversation about what movie he should rent. I suggested Buckaroo Banzai but he didn't think he could handle a Jeff Goldblum movie. So I suggested Farscape and sent him on his way.
While I was on the phone, Daniel hairly blathered on to some guy who was using a fire screensaver. About something. Yes. It was clearly something.
And then they weren't talking. And other people were talking.
And OMFG, the Ori are Sith Lords!!!!
Only, you know, not as good looking.
Dammit.

That was probably the funniest recap of this ep I've read. And amazingly non-spoilery.

But it was when Jack came in at the end. That's what it was missing, that sparkling "Jack" personality. Nearly anyone else could have left and with Jack it would have retained the magic. But without Jack it has the potential of becoming an really bad second-rate show. I'm beginning to like Atlantis better than SG1.
Thank the gods they're sandwiches in-between Firefly and Battlestar.
just my opinion...

And here was I thinking it was pod-Jack. Barely recognized him. I think I actually wish he hadn't made any appearances at all in S9. He was pretty much gone last season, anyway.
(Not that I disagree that S9 is lacking in many, many ways so far.)
And they didn't have a change of writers, but the writers and directors started splitting their time between SG1 and SGA.

If RDA hadn't made any appearances I might have been more inclined to enjoy it. His cameo just reminded me what was missing.
**ooh, having Jack withdrawal! Can't bear the pain!**
I might have to dig into some old Jack quotes and make some new icons...

I really have no desire to watch that episode again. I think I caught the gist of it - the rest was so much blathering.

But then, the entire thing is starting to make me grumpy. I'm just hoping that will change when we lose Vala (PLEASE MAKE HER GO AWAY) and get Sam back.

Awww. *pats*
But come on! They *mentioned* it! You gotta love that!
And I realized during this episode that I really dislike Landry. I wanted to like him, I tried to like him, but he just annoys me.
I'm pretty indifferent towards him. I wish he was in the story less because just like Hammond, you generally only should use him when you've got some exposition to cover.

I'm trying to remain optimistic. Trying. But this episode was so damn boring. It was like all the Earth-based episodes rolled into one, only without the fun of Teal'c and his donuts.

Mitchell could just start calling Landry, "John Smallberries", I guess.

Gah!! Noooo. They're all wicked nasty. Anakin doesn't count. He was only in his Anakin-persona for a little bit before he went KFC Extra Crispy Chicken on us.

"Speaking of openings, I caught the fan spoof of the Stargate opening credits. Loved it. Ahem."
Was he talking of yours?

Yeah, I believe he was. :D
