The next time someone tells you something somewhat bad about him/herself, like "I'm not feeling well" or "I'm so busy, I can't see straight" or "My head is killing me," you may be tempted to then tell them about how you are also not feeling well, or terribly busy, or have a killer headache or at one time had a headache that was even worse. But you know what? That's annoying. It's annoying and self-centered. Someone told you something to get a wee bit of sympathy. Maybe a pat on the shoulder. A hug. But instead you made it about yourself and played a game of "my life is so much worse than yours."

I lecture here because I can't do so at work to a person who is supposed to be a manager but thinks that "managing" equals talking over people when you're trying to say something.

My morale is at an all-time low, and this after having worked with a womanizer for years in my previous job.

I just don't care anymore. It all sucks.
