Just finished SG-1
First off, the trailer for next week. SAM!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! SAMSAMSAMSAMSAMSAMSAMSAM!! *runs in circles* With very fluffy hair! HA!
I never thought I'd miss her so much, but with Jack gone as well, I've been feeling like I've been biding my time until the season *really* starts. Sad, I know.
And thank GOD the good old doc is the general's daughter. Thank you thank you thank you. That could have been ugly. *shudders*
The actual episode, eh, another one that I could have used the fast forward on. It did seem like it picked up at the end, that we're actually getting to *something* now. But the rest of the episode...SAM'S BACK NEXT WEEK!!
One small note - I really liked that Daniel mused about the thing that's been bugging me about the Ori(i) - exactly *why* are they doing this? Like he said, we're not seeing the fine print yet.
ETA: Oh yeah. The Prior? Totally using a personal shield and nanobots.

The whole General / Doctor thing... Being a father I knew it wasn't an intimate relationship thing. Cause anything other than that would have been, well disgusting!
Why are the Orii doing it? It will be interesting to find out. I figure they're just attention whores who aren't getting enough at home.
The Priors are using the power of the (bad) ancients. The ancients in our galaxy won't allow the (bad) ancients to do anything directly. But they'll allow the Priors to use that power in this galaxy. What's the difference? Those priors would normally be powerless without the (bad) Priors and that constitutes direct interference, right?
I'm not sure this was really thought through as well as it should have been. There's going to be little flaws as time goes on. How many years did it take to make the whole Go'uold thing smoothed over.

Well, I was *pretty* sure it was a father/daughter relationship, but they didn't exactly say. And I was getting worried.

HA! "Well, fine. You have a headache. You know what? I have a headache too! Oh screw it. I'm gonna get some worshipers. See how you like that!"

Supposedly it's their interpretation of Free Will. But you'd think if they had a zero-tolerance policy for the Ori, they wouldn follow through by not letting their minions in.

I miss the Goa'uld. They had such flair.

I'm totally with you on that.

I *really* hate saying it was "the Daniel show" because that's become a derogatory term by some shippers and I wuv Daniel. But he has had to pretty much carry the first five episodes by himself.
That was one thing nice about past seasons - sure you'd get a "Daniel episode" or a "Sam episode" etc. etc. but the following week would focus on another person or the whole team. I probably would have enjoyed these eps more if they had been padded with team/other character focused eps.
But, I know the circumstances of AT and RDA, so I really can't fault them for not being around. Could have used more CJ though.

whew
the last 40 minutes did pick up-and it became interesting. LD actually can do something other than her Rommie impersonation-i may even begin to see her as the doc.
the earlier scene between Vala and Cameron-where she is ready to eat his jello and he takes it away-that was funny.
Daniel did ask a very good question-i hope that the writers follow that train of thought.
and yay-Sam is coming back-but please-who is hair dresser??? the same gal that does Medusa???? somebody please give that woman a brush and some gel.
Re: whew
Boy, now *that's* boredom!

Oh right! Forgot about that. I had a surreal Farscape moment there. But then it passed. My Farscape moments usually pass pretty quickly - their characters are too different from that show.

Yeah.

HA! Poor, poor Sam and her unfortunate hair over the years. Sometimes it was faboo. Other times...
