I have a Roku! This means I can now watch Netflix directly on my TV! (Well, some of Netflix.) Thanks to the helpful advice of people who commented on my "wireless? whatup?" post, a wireless router was attempted. One of those N jobs. But...it failed. Not due to the advice, but due to a mysterious something. We narrowed it down to the problem being either my network card or the ethernet plug on my modem. (I've always used its USB connection.)
Hours of trying, blah blah blah FISHCAKES, and finally we said screw it. We brought the wireless router back, and bought a new modem with wireless built in. It took about 2 minutes to set up, I've only got one thing on my desk, and it's got all that handy security stuff and firewalls so
shinyopals can't come sneaking in. *pets it*
*loads up Netflix insta-queue with fish documentaries*
