'Twas the day before Christmas...

What exactly they were laughing at is debatable - the danger or themselves. Personally, I think they were laughing at themselves.

They are so FIERCE. FEAR THE SCREWDRIVER AND THE CHAIR.

"We are totally innocent and never get into trouble and never never pass notes in the back of class."

Rose makes a sarcastic Doctor-like remark, and the Doctor couldn't be more amused. XD

"Yeah, we totally hang on each other while we're standing around now..."

I love this moment. Rose tries to put on a brave face for him.

But in the end it's silly to try and hide what she's really feeling from him. I like to think that they'd gotten better about not pulling that "I'm always all right" crap with each other.

Doctor: *CLINGS*
Rose: *gasps*

I imagine there are moments like this in the altverse now, but ones that come from...lesser things. "I haven't seen you for 2 hours! *CLINGS*" "We're out of milk! *GLOMS*"

An impossible conversation in an impossible place.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love it when the Doctor and Rose give each other crap. XD

And then things take a serious turn. Reality comes crashing down around their joking. They really might be stuck. They really might be faced with starting a new life. The Doctor really might be faced with things of a non-asexual nature. It's all very panic-causing!

But panic time is quickly over, because "being stuck with you is not so bad." (And I'm sure there were times after Doomsday that the Doctor would have traded everything to be stuck with her somewhere.)

I LOVE that after they have a very awkward conversation, things aren't weird between them. No nervous glances at each other or anything. Well, they're the Doctor and Rose - and they simply go on being them.

I've never been quite sure what the Doctor's so amused at here. But when has the Doctor needed a real reason to be amused by Rose? :D

Just when you think they couldn't get cuter, THEY GET CUTER.

AND THEN THERE IS HELMET KISSING! Yes, yes. Lipstick smudge on the glass. BUT HELMET KISSING! And he closes his eyes. SO CUTE.

The Doctor could be going off to walk through fire, and he'd probably be saying "WHEEEEEE!" while doing it at this point. (Yes, that mind hamster has completely fainted.)

THE WEE WAVING! Which is so cute (and very hard to see in still pics) that it must be in gif form!

And then the Doctor goes into the pit, and has an interesting conversation with Ida about what he believes in. Meanwhile, Rose takes charge up top. (Which I don't happen to have pictures for, and don't have my DVDs with me.)

But this scene always cracks me up. Rose lets the Doctor have it, and his reaction is priceless. :D

ROSE IS LEAVING HIM. *SOBS* *SOBS SOME MORE*

The Beast knows exactly how to push the Doctor's buttons. Threaten Rose and things go off into this whole other realm in the Doctor's mind.
