I'm not sure why I'm bothering, exactly, since apparently preconceived notions are harder to shake than a really-hard-to-shake thing, but I wanted to make a point of clarification on my earlier fandom post.

What prompted it was seeing Amy/Rory vs. Eleven/Amy vs. Eleven/Amy/Rory nonsense. I'd seen this all before, obviously, so made my post in sympathy to those that feel the need to OTP ship Amy/Rory or Eleven/Amy or Eleven/Rory or whatever. People shouldn't have to deal with others telling them that they are WRONG. So I related it to my Doctor/Rose shipping since that's my experience, but used an Eleven/Amy example.

But apparently, once you're a Doctor/Rose shipper, everything you talk about is really all about being a butthurt Rose shipper. Never mind the fact that Rose hasn't been a companion for 4 years and I'm perfectly content with how things wound up, you will always have a hidden agenda ad infinitum. So while it is sort of amusing to see people getting it so wrong, it's also annoyingly tiresome.

And hopefully that's all I'm going to say about that.
