HP

  • I really loved all the extra info the book had. Like the fact that the Marauder's Map was written by Lupin, Black, Pettigrew and Harry's dad. And that they could all change into animals and why they could all change into animals. Even why Snape is so pissy. (Someone needs a buttload of therapy.)

  • However, I think the movie improved on the pacing/construction of parts, specifically the shrieking shack scene where in the book everything ground to a complete halt.

  • I am noticing more and more how they've altered the characters in the movie, especially how Ron's new/changed parts are really all about comic relief. Book Ron > Movie Ron.

  • I'm looking forward to more backstory about the past generation - like what the Potters did to piss off Voldemort. (I don't know yet, and I'd rather not be spoiled, please.) Also, I'm hoping for more info on Lily. So far the books have pretty much focused on James, but I'm curious about her. I'd almost say I'd love a movie exclusively about the past, but it'd probably suck and Jar-Jar would turn up and you know how that goes.

Ye gods, Goblet of Fire is a big book! I hope it's actually content instead of padding. Cripes. Unfortunately the library only had a hardcover copy too, so I'm going to have to lug that around. Paperbacks are so much easier to read in bed.
