As far as I can tell, this wasn't a modernist tale about post-WWI. Actually, as far as I can tell nothing much happened other than three people died, which in my mind is a good thing. There are way too many bloody characters to keep straight.

HE IS A WEREWOLF. AND HE WAS SHIRTLESS (WELL NAKED ACTUALLY, BUT THIS WAS THE CW SO WE DID NOT GET ANY ASS SHOTS, UNFORTUNATELY) BECAUSE LOST HIS CLOTHES WHEN HE TRANSFORMED AND THEN WHEN HE BECAME HUMAN AGAIN- NO CLOTHES! AND THUS A BILLION GIFS ON TUMBLR WERE BORN.

AH HA! SO THAT'S WHY THEY'RE TURNING DAMON INTO A WEREWOLF!

And was the woman cuddling with the werewolf pre-humaning? O_O

LOL NO. WHEN HE WAS IN WEREWOLF FORM, SHE WAS RUNNING FOR HER LIFE FROM HIM BECAUSE SHE IS A VAMPIRE AND OE BITE FROM A WEREWOLF WILL KILL A VAMPIRE.

AND RIGHT NOW THEY ARE ~JUST FRIENDS~ (LOL ACTUALLY SHE JUST GOT DUMPED BY HER BOYFRIEND AND IN THE GIF I POSTED HE IS COMFORTING HER BECAUSE OF THAT), BUT I HAVE HOPE FOR A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM SOON.

There can be! But tbh, I wasn't paying attention when it was explained how that happens. Being a werewolf on this show is genetic, so I think if you already have the gene and THEN become a vampire you can be a werepire?? Idk.

In conclusion, vampires are bad news.

It would seem so. You'd think that wooden stakes and flamethrowers could take care of that.

It is also advisable to not date guys who listen to Debussy, know a lot of history or feast on the living.
