Good to know that after all this time rabid Ianto fans can still manage to be bitter and disgusting.

RTD has suspended TV work to care for his partner who has cancer, but let's get in completely assholeish slams against him! IANTO TORCHWOOD IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING.

I have many Ianto fans on my flist, many of whom were devastated at Ianto's death. But I'm happy to say that none of them belong to this hate community, nor have their life priorities completely fucked up. It really is a shame that this character has these types of very vocal fans with extremely tenuous grips on reality.

Which, whatever. But did everyone miss the memo that RTD wrote Queer as Folk? THIS IS NOT NEW FOR RTD.

?!?! What the hell is wrong with people?! I read about RTD's partner and how RTD is taking time off to care for him and I thought it was sad (the cancer part) and lovely (the caring partner part). I respect him even more for taking a break from work to care for his loved one. I send hope and healing thoughts their way.

When I first saw the news on Tuesday, my thought was that this was going to happen. And, god help me, I went and took a look at all of that. Have these people ever had a partner or friend go through something like this? Do they realize that it came out as an article because the fact that Starz is putting Cucumber on hold is business news and folks in the industry want to know why?
