There weren't so many TVD reviews on my flist yet, so I went and looked at tumblr. (LOL FOREVER.)

ELENA MUST DIE OMG!!!! CAKE OR DEATH BUT WE'RE OUT OF CAKE. Now I can't quite figure out what she did to earn this death sentence, but clearly she deserves it. (Messing with vampire feelings? Seriously, I can't figure it out. Tumblr is not exactly clear on this issue.)
Damon was tortured for some reason (shirtless contract?) and I think he hallucinated Elena. *wonders if hallucinated Elena also should die*
Someone named Sage died. Not sure if man or woman, vampire or human. Know they'd go well with turkey.
Also someone named Finn died. Ditto.
I think Stefan did stuff. Not sure though. The flist seemed indifferent and tumblr decided just to post pics about how cute he is. So. He was probably around.
Apparently if you kill some Originals (heh. boy band.) you kill all vampires, since all vampires are related to each other. (So sex between vampires is extra creepy.) This is awesome information, since the National Guard will only have to take out a few vampires to get rid of them all. Easy peasy genocideasy!

I'm three weeks behind on this show because my DVR didn't pick up an episode and I know if you miss one week, you are totally lost. I saw a review that said a character had returned. I didn't even realize they had left!

Esther aka Mama Original was going to off her children a few eps ago, which would mean that the entire vampire race would have been wiped out. I watched a show like that once, NOT your best bet, Mama Original!

Probably, but then again vampires are immortal and creepy stalkers so running away might not be as great of an option as we think. :)
