• Yup. Everyone is fucking crazy with an extra side of crazy. Not the mental illness kind, but rather the rabbit hole kind.
  
  
• So that Dude of Light person that hangs out with the red-head - is he the brother of Robert? But they also have another brother? Dude of Light kept talking about fighting his brother in battle, and since Robert is dead... I'm losing track of who's related to who and which people are fighting and why.
  
  OH WAIT. THAT ONE GUY WITH THE BLOND BOYFRIEND WAS ROBERT'S BROTHER TOO. What ever happened to them?

• Okay, I think I could ship Arya and the blacksmith guy 10 years in the future. They're cute, but isn't she like 12?

Dude of Light's name is Stannis and he is the middle brother. Robert was the oldest, Stannis is the middle child (AND LOL HE IS SUCH A CLASSIC MIDDLE CHILD) and Renly (the guy with the blonde boyfriend) is the bb (... Renly is also a pretty classic bb of the family).

In the books Arya is ~10 and he's ~15. On the show, I think Arya is supposed to be ~12 and Gendry is supposed to be ~17. But the actress who plays Arya was 14 at the time this was filmed and the actor who plays blacksmith guy was 24 (and imo, he LOOKS it). So yeah... idk. That knowledge makes it impossible for me to ship them, even though in the books I was like "hmmm... maybe when Arya is all grown up".

In the books Arya is ~10 and he's ~15. On the show, I think Arya is supposed to be ~12 and Gendry is supposed to be ~17. But the actress who plays Arya was 14 at the time this was filmed and the actor who plays blacksmith guy was 24 (and imo, he LOOKS it). So yeah... idk. That knowledge makes it impossible for me to ship them, even though in the books I was like "hmmm... maybe when Arya is all grown up".

Yeah, if he actually looked like a kid as well, it'd probably be a bit better. But he definitely looks in his 20s and she's ikkle.

I'm not in GOT fandom, but plenty of people I follow for other things love them and I get enough gifsets for them on my dash. I've tagged them otp: Future King and Queen of Westeros

The problem as well is that a lot of these characters aren't in the show week after week. Like the youngest brother - it'd been episodes since he last appeared and he was only in a couple to begin with.

lol I could totally be down with Arya/Gendry at some point in the future when she is not 12. I don't think the show has done anything too gross with it so it doesn't bother me if they are indeed hinting at something -- to me it seems more like they're just ~*friends in adversity or w/e and not like the show is going OMG SHIP THIS NOW!!

When I started reading this book, Stannis had just been rumoured (and then proved not to be) Chris Eccleston, so I pictured Stannis as Eccleston when I read and lmao it greatly improved my enjoyment of Stannis. Unfortunately in the show he is not actually Eccleston and my interest in him is like -100 right now. Sorry Stan. Your scenes are dark and full of boring.

Yeah, they seem pretty innocent and cute so far, which is nice. Hopefully there are still a few lines they don't want to cross, and trying to build up a romance with a 12 year old is one of them. Granted they've crossed about every other line.
