  • The queen was oddly kind to Sansa. Huh. She was sort of sympathetic in this ep. Although it's hard to have much sympathy since it's sort of impossible to see what kind of a person Joffrey was even before he got the throne. She's supposed to be smart.

  • And speaking of Sansa, she's starting to irk me a bit. Yeah, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place, but maybe at least try leaving? I know, I should have more sympathy for a kid, but Arya managed to ditch that scene. (Okay, she went from the frying pan to the fire, but at least she did something.) Sansa mainly mopes around and waits to get pregnant.

  • Another person irking me a bit is the Mother of Dragons. Yeesh, ditch the attitude already and deal with reality. (Okay, it's probably not just her - everyone going around with the "I AM MOST IMPORTANT OF EVERYONE" is getting thin.) Although I do want her to go to that undying place since it sounds like some weird shit is going down there.

  • Run Bran, run! I doubt that body at the end was his.

  • I like the idea of a woman knight, but she's kind of a bad actress.

  • Jon Snow is an idiot.

  • Theon is beyond an idiot.

  • Too little Tyrion in this episode.

But how CAN Sansa escape? Arya got out of the castle in the midst of the panic and then was smuggled out of the city by a friend. Sansa is under constant guard and the castle is filled with the queen's spies. The city is full of unrest right now, so even if she could escape, it'd be an incredibly dangerous situation and every guard in the city would be looking for her anyway.

Not sure, really. :\ It would be nice to see something other than moping from her though.

lol. It's frustrating because I don't want to spoil anything for you. But um... in the books there is something going on at the same time as all of this. It hasn't shown up in the show yet, but I'm sure it will at some point, so I won't say anything more than that.

I do think that it's a mistake on the part of the showrunners to basically ONLY show Sansa as a victim in season 2.

*twiddles thumbs* I hope they get on with it soon! :D

Rehashing the first comment a bit here, but: Sansa isn't just living in King's Landing, she's a prisoner there. Her prison is just a bit prettier than say, Jaime's, but it's just as hard to leave, and she can't fight and has no allies in the city. And even if she somehow managed to get out, she has no way to get to her family, who are on the other side of a country at war, where there are bands of rapists and thieves everywhere. So her only chance to even survive is try to please Joffrey and Cersei until she gets a chance to do something.

Jon Snow being an idiot though, I agree completely with that :P Thankfully we now have someone calling him an idiot, too :D

Yeah, I guess I can't really fault her for staying. But still I'd like to see something other than moping.

And I laughed when he got caught at the end. Idiot. XD

he woman playing Brienne is actually a model, so...yeah.

Fortunately she isn't given many lines.

They are playing Cersei much more sympathetic in the series than in the books. Of course, one of the things I love about this story is that when the POV shifts, you can find yourself becoming sympathetic to people you never ever thought you would. It's maddening and wonderful all at the same time.

It's only this past episode that I've felt any kind of sympathy for her. I don't mind as long as it signals a return to sanity. Somehow I doubt it though.

At this point in the books, I was equally annoyed with Sansa--especially when comparing her to Arya (which is kind of always a mistake with sisters, trust me--I have three). But she is a product of her upbringing and she is just as smart as Arya; otherwise, she'd be dead by now.

I probably shouldn't compare her. But it's hard! :D

Theon will...get what's coming to him. And more.

If only he wasn't such an idiot.
