• What is that Hound dude's problem? I probably just don't remember whatever Issue there is between him and Tyrion's friend. Their almost-altercation seemed completely random.

• Right. I don't understand the Hound dude whatsoever. No clue what his motivations are 99% of the time. Is he supposed to be an enigma? Or...a bit slow? Or something? I don't get him. If I didn't know from fandom that in the books they have this strange sort of friendship, I would have been completely boggled that he turned up in Sansa's room. In short, this character confuses the hell out of me.

The disfigurement the Hound has on his face is from being burned (by his older brother, on purpose) as a child, so he has an all-consuming fear of fire and is just a PTSD poster child in general. He doesn't like it when people are happy because he personally has never been happy, just full of rage and fear. He doesn't interact with Bronn at all in the books but I really liked the scene with them together juxtaposing how he and Bronn approach killing.

I could maybe see some sort of strange father-daughter relationship developing? Down the road, that is. So far they've had a couple of awkward conversations and he pulled her out of a mob. (In the TV version, at least.)
