Yeah I really liked it! An Flister posted it last week. I thought it was cool because it shows a more realistic/favorable view of 'real' women that nowadays we should see in movies/TV. I didn't even realize any of those aspects in Thor until I read the meta!! And now since then, I've been looking for it in everything I've seen since XD
I still believe that Thor is the golden retriever of people. Sweet, loyal, and capable of some strong intelligence, but more often than not, running around hoping for a cookie.
To quote a favorite story: "Thank god (he's) pretty."
*LAUGHS* It was me! OH, NED. Ned and Thor would probably get on like a house on fire. Meanwhile, Tony and Bruce are doing the -.^ at Jane, while she drinks her coffee and makes comments about house boys.
*laughs so hard she starts coughing* Oh, my god. I want that movie. DESPERATELY.
You should write me that fic.
BTW: I actually watched it last night, but fastforwarded through everything not on Earth (or that didn't have Frigg in it.) I enjoyed it quite a bit more!
I loved that when someone was all, "You TASERED him!", the intern was all, "Yeah, I did." Very smugly. She won my undying devotion for that line delivery.
I'm not very big on superhero movies in general. Some are okay, others... Meh. Like I liked Spider Man and Iron Man, but Captain America was not a hit with me. I wandered off from the latest Batman movie - never made it to the end. And I refuse to even watch Superman on general principles.
I despised Thor when I watched it. I really disliked the Thor character (he acted like a dick for the majority of the movie and then he suddenly had an epiphany in not acting like an entitled ass), I didn't think much of the human characters (mostly because of the fact that they were still making moon eyes at Thor despite him not deserving them) and at the film's halfway point the only character I even liked was Loki (but I knew he was going to be the villain...and it felt like token villainy to me because it happened too quickly, but I also refuse to Woobify Villains so I had to give up on him).
But now that I've watched Avengers, I really want to try watching it again. Because I liked Thor a lot more in Avengers and maybe I'll be able to tolerate him more now that I know who he's going to become.
Plus...Chris managed to make me cry in about ten minutes during Star Trek (2009). I feel like I owe him a second chance, just for his acting as Jim Kirk's dad!

THIS. He's a douche who winds up acting slightly less douchey, plus he's dumber than a brick and I'm supposed to be cheering for him?

Yeah, that bit was not all that great, IMO. Out of all the characters I found Loki the most interesting, but his whole "I WILL DO GENOCIDE BECAUSE DAD DIDN'T LIKE ME BEST" was...Ugh. Get over it already, dude. I can see why he's woobied so hard - it's the building blocks for woobiedom.

Ned: LOL SURE! Probably. I don't know. Nancy usually tells me these things and she's off solving a mystery in Germany or something. BUT IT'S AWESOME.
Thor: THEN WE SHALL CONTINUE IN THE NAME OF SOME OF AWE.

Actually, maybe this says more about why I'd watch that movie again than it does about you.
Hmm.

He's sort of like a pimped-out hamster wheel.
