Hee hee hee

The Poll of British-type Men continues! And the comments continue to be fairly entertaining. :D
  • Martin Freeman vs. Colin Firth. I really do like Colin Firth a lot. He really is a fabulous actor. But I like Martin Freeman right now. Sorry, Colin.

  • David Tennant vs. Benedict Cumberbatch? OH NO. :\ It might be another case of liking someone right now, although I do think that BC genuinely is a better actor than DT. Even though DT is no slouch by any means. *FLOPS*

  • Tom Hiddleston vs. Alan Rickman. I've only ever seen Tom Hiddleston in Thor, and *shrugs*. So my vote goes to Alan Rickman, who has done some pretty good work.

  • Colin Morgan vs. Bradley James.

My opinion on the Colin Morgan vs. Bradley James was exactly the same as yours. I was like, vote, vote, vote, eh, never mind.

I thought he was dating Lydia Hearst?

I can't even find the energy to click the "view results" link. XD

I didn't even make it to the point of seeing there was a "view results" link. XD

LOL TENNANT'S NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY WITH US! (I did vote for him tho).

... I just posted similar, except vis a vis Francois Arnaud XD

I do love DT quite a lot, but there are better actors out there. *DUCKS THE TOMATOES*

Tennant's one of my favorites, because he's so soulful. (UGH I AM CRINGING @ HOW FROUFY AND LAME THAT SOUNDS EVEN AS I TYPE IT). But I can't think of a better word so w/e lol. I just love it when you can see an actor's whole range of emotions through the tiniest little flicker of expression on his face. Tennant is awesome at that, but for me, Arnaud is the gold standard in that area.

He is very good at the heart-on-the-sleeve thing. He's got crying down!

[identity profile] rosaxx50.livejournal.com 2012-06-21 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, I voted the exact opposite of you in the first three. In the fourth, i didn't even know who Bradley Hames was... and ended up voting for him anyway...

XD Clearly we must DO BATTLE.

[identity profile] rosaxx50.livejournal.com 2012-06-21 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Shipwar! Stanning-war!

...what sort of battle would this be called, anyway?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2012-06-21 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
THE MOST EPIC BATTLE EVER.

I was so torn between Firth and Freeman, I must admit. Firth stole my heart in Diary (and looks fine in P&P wear), but Freeman is just so freaking adorable in Sherlock. Maybe I'm just more of an underdog fan because I went Firth, but it seems every single person I voted for is currently losing. Maybe I should just stop voting and my people will win? lol.

(and oh, look, I wonder where that icon came from..... :D )

LOL J/K I don't care, I am still smug off the fact that tonight I hung out with my friend -- the one who started DW with s5 and texted me after TWORS to be like "IT WAS SO ROMANTIC" -- has clearly escaped the effects of whatever hallucinogenic drug she was on and spent much of tonight complaining about Moffat, Eleven, series 6 and Sherlock s2/Irene Adler.

IT WAS BEAUTIFUL TO BEHOLD TBQH

I had always been so disappointed and perplexed by her lack of taste before. This was very refreshing.

I never vote in these things if I have to get pass a sign-in screen. :)

Besides, it's not like they ever include any of my faves: Anthony Andrews (his Scarlet Pimpernel is the best), Richard E. Grant (loved his Doctors), or Timothy Dalton (who I fell madly in love with when I first saw him in "Wuthering Heights"). I do have a thing for Alan Rickman ("Truly, Madly, Deeply" was the start of my thing abt him) and I adored Colin Firth long before P&P ("Valmont", much better than the other film, IMHO, esp. as the other film didn't have Alan Rickman like it should have). David Tennant goes without saying (thin, big nose, glasses, freckles, geeky--I love that his Doctor made all that sexy) and Benedict. Guh. (His mother was in Classic Who three times, and she has the most amazing cheeckbones, plus she was in UFO!)

I had no idea his mother was in Classic Who!! I'm going to have to track this down!

Man, he totally looks like her.

Doesn't he, just? :)

My fave of her DW guest star stints is "Image of the Fendahl". It's got Leela, always a good thing. And the pretty Scott Fredericks, also seen in the Blake's 7 episode, "Weapon". Major eyelashes!

I keep this site in my faves toolbar:
