  • AWWW. Poor Edith. I sort of expected the dude to drop dead at the wedding, but I didn't expect him to leave her at the altar. She needs to go to New York to Granny II and drown her woes in Broadway shows and dresses for a while.

  • FINALLY MATTHEW TAKES THE MONEY. I laughed at Mary's line about beating his head if he came up with any more excuses. :D The only disappointing thing is that he got to keep his precious Honor that he was so willing to sacrifice everyone's happiness for. I would have liked it more if he had to make the hard choice and put on his big boy pants for once.

  • Promo: OH SURPRISING THAT BRANSON DOES SOMETHING DOUCHEY. GOOD JOB ON DITCHING YOUR PREGNANT WIFE TO SAVE YOUR OWN SKIN. *THUMBS UP*

We thought he was going to drop dead too, poor Edith! And seriously, Matthew is such a doofus.

This is even worse, I think. At least for Edith.

And Matthew is a doofus. :D

And she can become all fabulous and mingle with the New York set!

Poor Edith. And if she doesn't go to America and sty with American Granny, her chances are not good to find someone else.

I was definitely ready to beat Mathew about the head and shoulders myself. From the promo, though, I will be this is not the end of it and the money will continue to Cause Drama.

Yup, Branson is proving to be a class act all the way.

I think going to New York would be perfect for her. Get away from the shadow of her sisters and everything.

I'm sure it will. :D Yeah, the point where he was accusing Mary of faking the letter I was ready to jump through the screen.

Yup, Branson is proving to be a class act all the way.

URG.

Mary is queen! I loved that she made Matthew deal with reality and found out who sent the letter.

Cora was fab too!

I am not looking forward to Bransons next week. UGH.

Me too. I swear he was going to start pouting and stomping his foot there for a bit.

Cora was fab too!

She was!

I just know he'll piss me off.

I rather he dropped dead than jilted Edith.

Glad the money situation is over and done with. Couldnt stand that plot point.

Daysi, you need to learn how to communicate better.

Robert, glad you made the suggestion on how Matthew should be more involved in Downton.

Why is Ethel here still. though, wonders where lil Charlie is.

Edith, go to London and stay with your Aunt but I normally say dont take your Aunt's Advice but for this time take her advice.

Mrs. Hughes why you made Mrs. Pottermore lie to Mr. Carson.

Poor poor Edith. Being rejected really is worse for her than if he'd died. She'll have so many issues now. She really does need time away from Downton Abbey and everything.

Mrs. Pottermore. XD

Haven't watched but have seen spoilers. Poor, poor Edith; what possessed Strallan to agree to a wedding if he was going to do that?

I know, right? It was an incredibly sucky thing to do!
